CAMP CADET ENRICHES THE LIVES OF AREA TEENS AND ADDS VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY

THE STORY OF CAMP CADET

The Pennsylvania State Police

Established in Armstrong County by the Pennsylvania State Police in 1975, Camp Cadet was immediately embraced by local citizens. During the week-long summer camp, held the last full week in July, Armstrong County youths ages 12-15 strengthen their character, learn self-discipline and gain a sense of responsibility. Camp Cadet is structured… but fun.

Armstrong County Camp Cadet is a co-operative project of the Pennsylvania State Police and civilian volunteers. There is never a fee for attendance at Camp Cadet.

All funding for the camp results from the generosity of local businesses, individuals, civic clubs, foundations and fraternal organizations. Our special thanks to all who have contributed to the success of this unique program over it's 43-year history.

Camp Cadet is made possible through the generous commitment of time, talent and energy of its volunteer counselors. Because of the tireless dedication of these special individuals, more than 2,500 young people in Armstrong County have benefitted from the positive experience that is Camp Cadet.
